Running a small business means plans shift fast — staffing changes, holidays, unexpected spikes in demand. This month’s updates are all about helping you stay flexible, deliver fast answers, and give your customers a smoother experience no matter what’s happening behind the scenes.

Here’s what’s new:

💬 New Sona actions: Transfers and SMS

Sona SMS actions in Quo

Sona is now more capable than ever. Whether you want route calls, gather information, or send texts during a conversation, you now have full control over how Sona handles every situation.

Transfer calls to your team. Sona can now hand off calls to the right teammate or department whenever human help is needed. If a caller requests a specific person or Sona hits a question she can’t answer, you decide when and where calls should be routed.

Send text messages during calls. Want Sona to share a scheduling link, directions, or other information? Sona can now send SMS messages while on the call. Just add the new SMS action to your job flow and write the message you’d like Sona to send.

Sona is now included on all Quo plans with 10 free calls every month, plus overage protection and lower rates as you grow.

We’ve made a series of improvements that help Sona communicate more naturally, stay on-brand, and understand your instructions more reliably.

A more natural, accurate Sona. Sona’s upgraded speech model makes conversations feel smoother than ever. You’ll notice faster replies, fewer awkward pauses, and better accuracy in noisy environments. 

Choose the tone that matches your brand. You can now set Sona’s tone — Casual, Neutral, or Formal — so every call feels consistent with your brand’s personality. Just go to Sona → Settings → Tone to update.

Optimize Sona instructions with one click. Writing perfect instructions can take time. Now there’s an Optimize button that rewrites your instructions to make them easier for Sona to follow, without changing your intent. This reduces configuration errors and helps Sona handle calls more reliably.

Automate more of your workflows in Zapier

Zapier Quo integration improvement announcement

We’ve expanded our Zapier integration with 8 new actions and 3 new triggers, giving you far more ways to connect Quo to the rest of your stack. Built on our public API, the upgrade unlocks deeper automation across call management, messaging, CRM syncing, and data retrieval — all while staying fully backward-compatible.

  • Send AI call summaries and transcripts to tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Airtable, and Google Drive
  • Capture and archive call recordings automatically
  • Sync conversation threads and message data to help desks, CRMs, or project tools
  • Detect keywords in SMS and trigger follow-ups or tasks
  • Build dashboards in Sheets or Data Studio to track call and message trends
  • Keep your phone number inventory synced across systems

This expanded integration gives you everything you need to streamline follow-ups, centralize call data, and automate entire back-office workflows.
